It is never so easy writing your biography by yourself. I shall provide those whom are interested, with a clear vision of what is unique about; what I did and what I tried to become as a professional.
In my life I have had excellent teachers. It was not easy; I had to search for them. The most important thing for me is the “experience” considered as a philosophy of life. For this reason I have always tried to come out of my comfort zone with experiences like theatre, survival adventure and nature encounters, travelling and reading.
My life is a learning journey.
Along my path, I have found a great interest in social dynamics. Organizations, profit and non-profit are human communities similar to tribes with their symbols, ritual, rules, taboos and values. I have learned to approach organizational issues, problems and desires, with the eye of an anthropologist.
This route has confirmed to me that luck does not exist, but there are opportunities that everyone can create. Therefore I’ve learned that it is very important to be aware of our real needs, recognizing our qualities, accepting what we do not like about ourselves and acting to choose every time, when we are allowed to do so.
We can never do the super-right thing all the time, but we can try our best.
Courage is the amount of uncertainty with which we are willing to live with.
I describe my current situation as the accomplishment of many professional goals. Today I am an IAF:
CPF certified professional international facilitator based in Italy. My work deals mainly with organisational innovation, change facilitation, leadership and team development.
I have a degree in Economics and a specialization in Marketing. I have gained a Masters’ Degree in International Cooperation and Development and an international certificate in Experiential Learning.
Up until now, in my professional career, I have designed and lead training and facilitation classes for more than 12.000 people. I have worked in Italy, Germany, Israel, Spain, Belgium, Latvia and more.
Since 2014, I have been a co-founder of a school for experiential learning facilitators based in Padua (TeT) supported by Niuko/Confindustria Padua and IALT.
I have my own company (Maieutike) based in Rome and I work as a consultant for some of the most successful training organizations in Italy and Europe. I belong to an international network of trainers and coaches, which provide multilingual training in all European countries. I have also been a keynote speaker and a TEDx speaker in Trento.
My attitude has been to lead my own company since the beginning.
1992-1998
I became the Managing Director and a partner of two companies that were engaged in events organization such as; conventions, congresses, international conferences, kick off and product launches, event’s planning and professional congress organizing.
1998
I began running my first course: “Follow the Leader”. It was a challenge to prove to myself my ability in public speaking. However, it became my second professional life.
1998-2007:
I decided to develop, a training unit within my company, which focused on team effectiveness and team building. The idea was to use an unconventional training approach and experiential activities. I developed an in-house catalogue of 55 different team building activities.
2004-2007
I was a lecturer for different courses in HRM for prestigious universities in Rome.
2004-2010
I designed and lead soft skills courses for the world’s most important multinational companies based in Italy: Procter and Gamble, Sanofi Aventis, Pfizer, General Electrics, PMI and more. I designed and lead dozens of classes with hundreds of participants on courses of change management, leadership development, team-working, communications skills, negotiation and even training the trainers to become internal staff of the company.
2010
Following several courses in Italy and abroad as a participant, I attended the International Long Term Training course Via Experientia, achieving an international certificate as a facilitator in Experiential Learning. My aim was to upgrade my knowledge in training especially for what concerns group dynamics and adult learning.
2011
Finally I left the events business by founding Maieutike with Fabio De Luca, which is a consultant HRM company with core business training e coaching.
2012
I moved to Trento in the North of Italy in a perfect environment to develop my personal vision of adults’ learning and growing process. I designed the workshop “She Leader” for the University of Trento, to develop leadership in a group of young graduate women. The course won an international price as ‘best placement office activity’ of the year within 70 different projects.
2012-2016
As a co-writer, I published 3 handbooks on experiential learning.
2013
Since 2013 until today, I have a wide cooperation with important consultant organizations in Italy and abroad.
2014
“Training Experiential Trainers” school in Padua began its activity thanks to IALT.
2015
I was a TEDx speaker in Trento on “Courage to dare.”
2017
I leave the direction of Maieutike to speed up W.I.L.D. as a brand new approach to facilitation of adult learning.
